José Ignacio Jiménez-Blanco
Law Degree from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) with Extraordinary Award.
He started his career as in-house lawyer at Citibank before joining the Spanish State Finance Inspectors Corps (currently on leave of absence).
For twenty-one years he was head partner of Clifford Chance tax department in Spain, specializing in cross-border transactions and value-added tax structures, maximizing the benefits of the different international tax regulations. He later joined KPMG Abogados to lead the tax practice in structured finance transactions.
José Ignacio is a tax lecturer at the Centro de Estudios Financieros, where he gives post-graduate lessons, and is a frequent speaker at International Tax seminars. He also writes regularly in Spanish and international publications.
He has been recognized by the most important international legal directories as one of the leading tax lawyers in Spain (Chambers and Partners, Best Lawyers, Legal 500, etc.).
He speaks Spanish, English, French and Italian.
